No one ever really wants to go to a photo session and have their baby just cry through a session. If any parent has stood on the sidelines watching the photographer try to get the best pictures from babies, they probably know how chaotic and silly it can get. Photographers and parents will do just about anything to get their sweet tiny human to show off their cute little teefers (aka teeth to the normies).
Oddly enough, I had a smash cake session for my granddaughter yesterday. I realized this. I need to shove my camera in her face more often because I want to take pictures of her for the rest of her life. She might just get used to the camera by then. This sweet baby girl loves her GamGam (I swear she told me with her babbles), but she doesn't like when GamGam has a giant camera in her face.
I will say this. For as much effort as we went through to get smiles and capture her personality, we did an amazing job getting sweet baby smiles for her 1 year smash cake session!
